FAME HAS ITS PERKS (Famous Dave's)

February 26th, Brenda Best's acoustic show at Famous Dave's in Smyrna, Tennessee was again a GREAT turnout. Just last week (Feb.19th), after her energetic performance Brenda and her manager got a chance to get acquainted with the owners of Famous Dave's (www.homeofthebigslab.com)
Now one of BB's favorite new places to play an acoustic gig, "Fire Side Fridays" a new thing for this venue and BB is one of the first performers to be part of this new event (thanks to Randy Moore of Bedford Falls Entertainment (www.bedfordfallsentertainment.com) for the booking). The owners and staff are always ready to go out of their way to make everyone feel at home. It's always packed with customers, especially Friday nights, which adding a new music program to the menu is a fantastic idea. Want to know how great Famous Dave's really is? They asked BB, "What would you need the next time you come back to play?" She replied, "A STAGE with LIGHTS" and VOILA, when she walked in the following week, Feb 26th, a brand new stage painted black with strip lights surrounding it. I guess "Fame" has its Perks !

THEY'RE GONNA PUT BB IN THE MOVIES

Like an old Buck Ownens song "They're gonna put me in the movies" is just what Brenda Best is singing. A new HOLLYWOOD movie wrapped up filming at Nashville last weekend. "Love Don't Let Me Down" starring Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow and country music superstar Tim McGraw. The story line is now revealed in The Tennessean newspaper; so it's safe to reveal stuff about it. At first, Brenda wouldn't give out details because of a privacy agreement she signed on the set of Love Don't Let Me Down. Now that the cat's out of the bag, Brenda Best played a rehab patient "Extra" for the film which she feels was not very glamorous. It's a small part, but noticeable. BB fussed at the lack of makeup looking unflattering. Well Gwyneth Paltrow also played a rehab patient in this movie struggling with fame as a country music artist. Tim McGraw plays her husband and music manager . Gwyneth's love interest who works at the rehab center (which was filmed at Barbara Mandrell's former home Fontanel) Garrett Hedlund played an employee at the facility. Brenda Best also plays an extra at one of Gwyneth's (Kelly Canter) country music concerts up close to the stage looking a bit more country fan chic. Keep your eyes out and be sure to see "Love Don't Let Me Down" when released at a theater near you.

BRENDA BEST & STELLA PARTON SHARE THE STAGE IN ALABAMA

Brenda Best will be performing in Athens Alabama, on April 3rd. VIEW POSTER Dolly's little sister, Stella Parton (www.stellaparton.com) will also be performing as a special musical guest with Razzy Bailey (9,999,999 Tears singer/songwriter) one of Billboard Magazine's Country Singles Artist of the Year 1981.

IS SHE FAMOUS? FAMOUS DAVE's THINK SO :
Friday, Feb. 19th, 7:06 p.m., Brenda Best walked into a Famous Dave's for the first time. All eyes watched as she was escorted by her personal manager and the restaurant owner. BB wearing a pink fuzzy magic show hat and some 5" Michael Kors rock n' roll platform heels. A few young girls discreetly snapped photos with their cell phones as she walked passed everyone waiting in line for their tables. One person offered to buy her shoes. Brenda smiles admitting she would miss them from her closet. We're sure that the shoes could have been auctioned, but instead, toes were tapping when the music began and BB eased into what quickly became a PARTY at Famous Dave's in Smyrna, Tennessee. The staff and managers are GREAT people ! Not only the menu makes this specific Famous Dave's terrific, they have hired an exceptional group of employees working together with positive attitudes towards their customers. Indeed that makes it all an evening to remember topped off by one of the BEST entertainers (no pun intended). BEST has a way with people no matter if she's performing a country show for 300 people at The Nashville Nightlife or 120 people jammed in a Famous Dave's restaurant singing & playing a songlist that consists everything from Stevie Nicks cover songs to 'Poker Face' by Lady Gaga; of course performing & promoting originals from her CD. She made a lot of new fans and a dozen of her forever fans joined the party giving BB the appetite to perform at 100%.
CMA MUSIC FEST 2010:
We are looking for a venue to throw BB's Fan Club party. Brenda definitely wants to perform for her fans. "It's been such a long time since I've seen everyone's faces all in one place...I need to throw a party!" she quotes. We will be posting news about FAN FAIR 2010 as soon as we know.
